Diving 101 - use a checklist

Scuba diving is a hobby that @ingridlotze & @gavinmoffat hope to continue till their dying day. It is a continuous source of inspiration, growth, and an excuse for exploration and new experiences. Even though they are both experienced divers, there is always perpetual learning and skill development. The recent dive is a great example of relearning what is a key part of many hobbies namely the use of a checklist. Preparation with the use of a checklist is an indispensable tool for hobbyists dealing with multifaceted endeavors. It not only enhances efficiency but also contributes to the overall quality of the hobby - as @ingridlotze found out when she had no torch on a dive that was cold and dark. There’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance. Practicing humility and following the basic rules helps in maximising the enjoyment of complex hobbies.
