Pack memories, not stuff. Life’s treasures are unseen.

Updated: Jan 7

Since the end of April, we've been in Johannesburg, South Africa, standing steadfast by our daughter’s side as she navigates her journey through colon cancer—a chapter in our lives that has redefined strength, resilience, and love.

While living as nomads in a temporary home, surrounded by just a few of our belongings, we’ve been reminded of the truth: it’s not the things we carry but the moments we create that truly matter.

Our time here has been filled with challenges & gifts; reflections & perspective. We’ve made new connections, solidified friendships, and created incredible memories all of which have kept us in good spirits. As our daughter continues to inspire us with her courage, we’ve found ourselves even more committed to embracing a life of experiences over possessions. Our long standing aim to cultivate connection has been boosted with a new drive to help people have less distraction & more direction.

And now, as the new year approaches, our international travels are calling us once again.Starting at the end of January, we’ll be back on the slow-move creating more stories, discovering new places, and sharing the journey with you.

Watch this space for more adventures—because life is too short to be weighed down by mental and physical clutter. We need to make space for what truly matters. It’s the unseen treasures—the memories, connections, and growth—that make life truly extraordinary. Words can’t describe 2024, and even the visuals don’t do the emotions, learning and connection justice! The Afrikaans word ‘Sjoe’ is the only word that gets close enough.
