Meaningful measurement of happiness

On the sign in the delightful nursery-based coffee shop was a recipe for happiness:-

1 cup of laughter

A pinch of humour

4 lbs of romance

2 spoon fulls of joy

3 tablespoons of trust

3/4 zest of tenderness

On the bottom right corner of the sign it said “Making Memories”

This got me wondering how we should measure our days. It's easy to measure our days in money earned or tasks completed, but there are other - more meaningful units of measurement:-

1. What would you do today if you wanted to maximise laughter?

2. What would you do today if you wanted to maximise well-being?

3. What units of measurement serve you best right now?

4. What choices are you making to bring these things into your life?
