Covid signs around the world

2020 was the year of COVID-19. No matter your thoughts on where it came from, the impact it would or wouldn’t have, it was a major happening in all our lives. The residue it left, physically, emotionally and metaphorically will be around for decades to come.

@ingridlotze and I managed to avoid contracting Covid until end-October 2022, no mean feat with the number of miles travelled.

One of the most fascinating aspects of our travels has been the Covid signs around the world, or at least the places we’ve travelled. Whether it was Kenya, Mauritius, Malaysia, Indonesia or Thailand, most countries followed WHO guidelines. They also had their own in-country flavours. The nuance that showed what was required to speak to people, in their own language and appeal to their own sense of community, belonging and what was needed to persuade or enforce laws.

This isn’t a statement on our feelings about Covid and the steps taken to control or obviate its impact, just our experience of ‘Covid signs around the world’.
