Who says you have to travel far to find joy and adventure? Sometimes, the best experiences are waiting just around the corner. @Gavinmoffat and @ingridlotze took the opportunity to spend time with special people and explore something new locally. We aimed to try something we’ve never had before - ‘melkos’.
As South African’s, it is surprising to know that it has taken @Gavinmoffat and @ingridlotze over 50 years to taste this traditional South African dish. The Afrikaans name for this creamy milk-based pudding infused with cinnamon is directly translated as ‘milk food’ in English and is comparable to rice pudding or custard in other parts of the world.
There is always an opportunity to see your neighbourhood with fresh eyes and discover the magic in the small things. Whether it's a hidden park, a cozy café, or a quiet street you haven't walked down before, there's invariably a piece of joy to find.
