27 March 2023 - 11 months in

@ingridlotze and @gavinmoffat woke up this morning and could hardly believe that they’ve been living their nomad / work / lifestyle for 11 months today.

This feeling fits in quite well with one of their favourite words, surreal.

This was written while sitting on a patio at their accommodation in Kathmandu, Nepal, somewhere they never thought they would experience.

Along with the amazing surreal moments, there are many not so amazing moments that nonetheless, provide learning opportunities and the space to strengthen the resilience muscle.

Whether its choosing from the same small selection of clothes every day for 11 months, living out of a suitcase, not buying anything extra cause, you know, 25kgs weight allowance on flights - to needing to find a new grocery store in every city, getting used to a new bed or pillow (19 times), dealing with the incessant hooting all over India and so on.

No, this is not a gripe, merely a reflection on what happens behind the scenes and that isn’t that easy to capture on video.

11 amazing months with tons of firsts and no regrets about the choice/s made.

nomad / work / lifestyle - it's a choice and a way of life, for now :)
